God Mode review

There's no shortage of runnin' and gunnin', but this shooter's premise of being stuck in purgatory sometimes feels just a little too true...

God Mode begins with a joke, and the gag (initially in the main menu) repeats every single time you start the game until it makes your blood boil. That’s God Mode in a nutshell: a perfectly decent idea repeated ad nauseum until you’re sick of it.

– No variety in gameplay; you’re forced to grind through the same levels to unlock most weapons.

– Obnoxious narrator who repeats the same jokes endlessly.
